Amy Debrock of Chaffee has been awarded a President's Scholarship and a Missouri Leadership Award to attend Southeast Missouri State University in the fall. Amanda Whipple, Angela Suhre and Jason Grebe, all of Cape Girardeau, and Tashia Beck of Chaffee have been awarded President's scholarships.
The President's Scholarship is awarded high-school seniors who rank at least in the upper 20 percent of their class and score 24 on the ACT or 1010 on the SAT. The scholarships also are awarded to students who are their class valedictorian and complete the core curriculum. The scholarship is worth $1,200 per academic year.
The Missouri Leadership Award is a $500 one-year award for Missouri students who have achieved an ACT score of 22 or SAT score of 920 and a 3 grade-point average. Recipients must demonstrate leadership abilities.
Debrock is the daughter of Ivan and Jo Ann Debrock of Chaffee and will graduate this spring from Notre Dame High School.
Whipple is the daughter of Ed and Rosie Cooper, Suhre is the daughter of Bill and Lynn Suhre, and Grebe is the son of Kenneth and Kathy Propst. All three will graduate from Central High School this spring.
Beck is the daughter of George and Gail Beck, and will graduate from Chaffee High School this spring.
