The Southeast Missourian will open an office at Jackson Tuesday.
"This is a move to better serve a very important part of our trade area," said Wally Lage, Missourian publisher. "It will enable us to provide a better package of news, advertising and circulation to Jackson."
The new office, at 104 S. Hope, will be staffed from 8 a.m. to noon initially, noted Lage. "Those hours will be extended to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, in August."
The Missourian has a large circulation in the Jackson area, and is a regular advertising vehicle for many of its merchants.
Residents can now drop off news releases, classified and display ads and subscription payments at Jackson.
Susan Elayer and Glenda Mayberry will staff the office.
Marvin Wormington, Missourian sales representative for the Jackson area, will also utilize the office.
