An article published in Tuesday's Southeast Missourian Jr., a new children's newspaper that offers youngsters an opportunity to see their stories and drawings in print, caused discomfort to family and friends of Travis Elfrink, who is hospitalized as a result of a vehicle accident.
The staff of Southeast Missourian Jr. regrets inclusion of the article in the publication and extends their apologies to the Elfrink family and friends.
Except for the cover, Southeast Missourian Jr. is entirely composed by children on a variety of topics. The publication is the sole responsibility of the newspaper's advertising department.
