Southeast Missouri State University's Internet access is back up and running after being down for much of the day, causing problems for people outside the university accessing the school's website and for students taking online courses.
The problems came up because of a Charter Communcations outage, according to spokeswoman Ann Hayes.
"We don't know when it's going to be restored," she said.
Students and faculty on campus could access the university's Web site and receive intra-campus e-mail. They couldn't visit other Web sites.
Students off campus couldn't access Web classes or the university's Web page.
