Southeast Missouri Hospital's Marketing and Communications Department has received statewide recognition for five projects that the hospital has produced this year.
The projects were all designed to educate and inform community and area residents on health-related issues.
The "Show Me Excellence" award, presented by the Missouri Association of Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing, recognized achievement and quality in projects by hospitals and health care systems.
Awards were presented in conjunction with the Missouri Hospital Association Annual Convention and Trade Show held earlier in November.
Southeast received the following "Show Me Excellence" awards:
-- First place for a radio advertisement about Southeast Hospice, produced by Keith Whitworth and Maggie Friend.
- First place for "A Legacy in Caring" video for the hospital foundation, produced by Keith Whitworth and Maggie Friend.
-- Third place for "The Parent Adventure" newsletter, produced by Stacy Christiansen.
-- Third place for InforMed, the hospital's employee newsletter, produced by Renee Bowerman.
-- Third place for a photograph taken by Maggie Friend at "Camp DAYBreak," a summer adventure for children with diabetes.
