Southeast Fabricating, Inc. is expanding.
The firm, a sheet metal fabricating company, will be moving into a 21,000-square-foot building in the 630 Industrial Park along Southern Expressway (Highway 74).
"Groundwork started on the new building this week," said Dianna Todt, vice president of the company. "We hope to be in by mid-December or at least by the first of the year."
Southeast Fabrication was founded in June 1989.
Daniel R. Todt, who has more than 16 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing and sales, is president of the firm. Todt's wife, Dianna, is vice president and secretary.
"We opened in a 5,000-square-foot building at 803 Enterprise more than three years ago, with four employees," said Mrs. Todt. "We now have 10 employees eight of them in the shop and will probably increase that when we get into the new facility."
Mrs. Todt said the facility would have two buildings, the 21,000-square-foot building and an adjoining 1,800-square-foot office structure.
The firm fabricates sheet metal for use in duct work, conveyors, cat walks, and other products. It also sells industrial parts conveyors, belts and sprockets.
Bob Price of Cape Realty handled the transaction between Southeast Fabricating and 630 Corp.
