Southeast Missouri State University will hand out diplomas to 730 students at spring commencement today.
The ceremony begins at 2 p.m. in the Show Me Center.
Missouri Secretary of State Rebecca Cook will deliver the commencement address. She is the first Cape Girardeau County native to hold statewide office in Missouri in 93 years.
In all, 672 undergraduates and 58 graduate students will receive degrees.
Due to the elimination of the August commencement for undergraduates, both spring and summer undergraduates will participate in today's graduation exercise.
Nine students will graduate with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Six will receive academic distinction.
