In the coming week, Falcon Cable TV viewers might have some fuzzy reception because of interference with the sun.
The poor reception will be from Sept. 30 through Oct. 18 from 1-5 p.m. It is caused by solar interference.
The problem is a normal part of satellite operations, said Rick Haupt, chief engineer for Falcon Cable.
When the satellite and sun's positions both move in the same line, it creates a mini eclipse. When that happened, the satellite-delivered cables program signals are interrupted.
The duration of the interference will vary by channel, depending on which satellite delivers their signal. Generally, the interruptions won't last longer than 10 or 15 minutes.
