SOCIAL SECURITY WORKERS ARE READY TO SERVE

The Cape Girardeau Office is one of four offices in the Cape Girardeau District of the Social Security Administration. We also have offices in Kennett, Sikeston, and Flat River. The Cape Girardeau office serves the northern part of Scott County and Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Perry and Ste. Genevieve counties.

You can go to any office to conduct your social security business. You are not restricted by geographical boundaries. Go to the social security office most convenient for you. Many of the people who visit the Cape Girardeau office do not live in the counties we normally serve.

Social Security employees provide information about Social Security and other related programs, make referrals to other agencies, conduct interviews necessary to issue Social Security cards, and assist people in filing claims for monthly benefits. Monthly payments may be made to retired or disabled workers and their families. Offices also assist with claims for Supplemental Security Income payments and Medicare.
