FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- A driver escaped injury and stopped her car after a 4-foot-long rat snake came out of her dashboard and slithered across her feet as she drove on Interstate 49. Although rat snakes aren't venomous, Kelly Swisher said the snake felt "rough and scaly" and gave her a "nails on a chalk board" sort of feeling. She said the snake made its way into the back seat, allowing her to get off the interstate and get out of the car. Animal-control officers captured the snake.
