A debate scheduled for Saturday between both sides of Cape Girardeau's proposed smoking ban has been moved to the Cape Girardeau Public Library.
The event is being moved indoors because of the strong chance for inclement weather, said Tom Young, a member of the Cape Girardeau County Tea Party, which is sponsoring the event. The debate between opponent Doc Cain and supporter Sheri House will take place in the Hirsch meeting room at 1 p.m. The citywide smoking ban is on the Cape Girardeau ballot April 5.
