St. Francis Medical Center's Sleep Well program will sponsor a series of free programs on sleep disorders this month.

May is Better Sleep Month.

The first program is set for Thursday at 7 p.m. in conference rooms A and B of the medical center. Pulmonologist Khalid Khan will discuss sleep apnea, its diagnosis, treatment and potential health hazards.

On May 18, pulmonologist Bradley K. Bittle will speak about insomnia, the inability to sleep. His program begins at 7 p.m. in conference rooms A and B also.

The third program features Cape Girardeau neurologist Randall Stahly, who will talk about narcolepsy, a chronic condition characterized by recurrent attacks of drowsiness and sleep. His presentation is set for May 24 at 7 p.m. in conference rooms C and D.

Space is limited and preregistration is suggested.
