On Wednesday, the TA-4 Skyhawk plane, a monument to military personnel, was moved to its display pad.

History

The fighter arrived at Cape, riding in on a flat-bed trailer, on February 6, 2006. Several groups worked to restore the plane to it's current display condition.

The local Civil Air Patrol Trail of Tears Chapter 23127 did an extensive primary clean-up. Members of the Cape Girardeau Pilot's Club prepped and painted the TA-4 in it's service colors and markings.
