Students learn through a wide range of seminars in electronics, drama, art, the inventive process, creative problem solving, nature, pollution and a comparison of eastern and western cultures.

Students are nominated by teachers and principals on the basis of academic performance.

Uzoaru is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Uzoaru of Cape Girardeau.
