The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department, the Breakfast Optimist Club and K103/KZIM Radio will team up to hold the sixth annual Youth Catch and Release Fishing Clinic Saturday at Capaha Park. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and run until noon. The clinic is open to children ages 1 to 15 and is free. Children must provide their own rod and reel as well as their own bait...

The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department, the Breakfast Optimist Club and K103/KZIM Radio will team up to hold the sixth annual Youth Catch and Release Fishing Clinic Saturday at Capaha Park.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and run until noon. The clinic is open to children ages 1 to 15 and is free. Children must provide their own rod and reel as well as their own bait.

All participants at the event will be eligible for a casting contest. Competition and attendance prizes will be available.

The event is co-sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation, the Noon Optimist club, the Evening Optimist and Excelsior Optimist clubs of Cape Girardeau.

Lunch will be provided to all participants of the clinic. For more information call the Parks and Recreation Department at 335-5421.
