SIXTEEN CAPE STUDENTS QUALIFY FOR DISTRICT BAND

Sixteen students from Cape Girardeau Central High School qualified for All-District Concert Band.

One of those students also qualified for All-District Jazz Band.

Central students selected for the concert band are Renee Robinson, Blaine Oxley, Christy Wetzel, J.J. Haycraft, Eric Burnley, Kristie Jackson, Tracie Baker, Greg Robinson, Sara Moore, Laura Krone, Josh Miller, John Hearnes, Cary Dunavan, Corey Wright, John Lamar, Becca Lewis.

Greg Robinson also was selected for the jazz band.

The All-District band performs at the MSTA District Teachers Meeting held in Cape Girardeau in the spring.

Students who qualify for All-District band are then eligible to audition for All-State band.

The All-State Band performs at the annual state convention for music teachers.
