Six girls from Cape Girardeau will attend the American Legion Auxiliary Girl's State program at William Woods University in Fulton June 18-24. Six girls from Cape Girardeau will attend the American Legion Auxiliary Girl's State program at William Woods University in Fulton June 18-24.

-- Michelle Bennett, a student at Central High School where she is involved in varsity tennis, National Honor Society, Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and chamber choir, and is a captain of pompon squad. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Bennett. She is sponsored by the Lion's Club.

-- Katie Boos, a student at Notre Dame High School where she is involved in varsity volleyball and basketball, concert choir, spirit club and musical crew. She is a Junior American Legion Auxiliary member. She is the daughter of John and Cecelia Boos. She is sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary.

-- Kristin Reinagel, a student at Notre Dame High School where she is involved in volleyball, National Honor Society, spirit club, Spanish club, and is a member of the yearbook-newspaper staff, and winner of I Dare Your Leadership Award. She is the daughter of Tom and Susie Reinagel, and is sponsored by the Breakfast Optimist Club.

-- Jamie Welker, a student at Notre Dame where she is involved in softball, cross country, concert choir, student council, and National Honor Society. She is president of the junior class. She is the daughter of Jerry and Charlotte Welker, and is sponsored by the Exchangettes Club.

-- Cassie Westrich, a student at Notre Dame, where she is involved in treble choir, Students Against Drunk Driving, cross country and softball, and was on the stage crew for the school play. She is the daughter of Charlie and Lynn Westrich, and is sponsored by the Optimist Club.

-- Bethanie Gosche, a student at Notre Dame, where she is involved in National Honor Society, varsity basketball, student council, spirit club and cross country. She was involved in the Optimist Youth In Government program. She is the daughter of Larry and Bonnie Gosche and is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.
