Singer Neal E. Boyd will be going into more rigorous physical therapy as part of his recovery from a serious automobile accident in January, according to a video posted to his Facebook page Sunday morning.

Boyd, whose pop-opera vocal performances won season 3 of "America's Got Talent" in 2008, is from Sikeston, Missouri.

In Sunday's video, he appeared to be speaking from a hospital bed. Boyd spoke quietly, oxygen tube in his nose, and said he wanted to give back some of the love and support he's been shown since the accident.

"Wanted you all to know we're praying for you this Sunday, and we appreciate the prayers that you've given our family these last several weeks," he said. "[We] ask that you continue to pray for the next several weeks as we go into more rigorous physical therapy."

Boyd said this experience has been life-changing, and said he wanted people to know "we love you all very much and greatly appreciate having you in our lives."

He asked people remember to pray for their neighbors.
