BRANSON, Mo. -- Singer Andy Williams said he plans to be entertaining visitors to Branson for years to come.
Even if he is going to turn 83 on Dec. 3.
Williams has been entertaining at the Moon River Theatre in Branson since 1992. He said he will keep working there for as long as he feels good and can still sing well.
He told the Springfield News-Leader that his current Christmas show is a musical variety show much like the "The Andy Williams Show" he did on television from 1962 to 1971.
Williams' 1963 recording, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," is a Christmas season standard.
Some other entertainers have followed Williams to Branson, particularly for Christmas shows. They include Paul Revere and the Raiders and Kathy Lennon of the Lennon sisters.
