The dinner will be held at the Days Inn and begins at 6 p.m.

"We are really looking forward to recognizing the work that Sen. Bond has done since he went to Washington," said Gayle Green, chairman of the Scott County Republican Committee.

"Kit Bond has done an exemplary job of representing Missourians in the U.S. Senate. As senator, he has tackled issues like the highway bill, the agriculture bill and others."

Also attending the event will be Republican candidates vying for statewide offices this year.

Those invited include candidates for governor, Bill Webster, Roy Blunt and Wendell Bailey; and Margaret Kelly, who is unopposed in the primary for lieutenant governor.

Statewide candidates for attorney general, secretary of state and state treasurer are also expected to attend.
