A Sikeston, Mo., woman died Monday morning after her car struck a concrete bridge pillar on northbound Interstate 55. Tracy Abbott, 44, was driving her 2005 Mazda when it struck another vehicle while that vehicle was exiting off the right shoulder near the 87-mile marker. Abbott's car then hit an embankment, went airborne, and hit a concrete bridge pillar, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash report...

A Sikeston, Mo., woman died Monday morning after her car struck a concrete bridge pillar on northbound Interstate 55.

Tracy Abbott, 44, was driving her 2005 Mazda when it struck another vehicle while that vehicle was exiting off the right shoulder near the 87-mile marker. Abbott's car then hit an embankment, went airborne and hit a concrete bridge pillar, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash report.

Abbott was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau where she was pronounced dead.

Abbott was not wearing a seat belt.
