A Sikeston, Missouri, woman was arrested Feb. 9 on suspicion of burglary and domestic assault.

Latifah M. Johnson, 25, has been charged with felony second-degree burglary, felony second-degree domestic assault and misdemeanor third-degree assault.

She is accused of barging into the home of her child’s father, yelling and threatening him and then hitting his new girlfriend.

Johnson arrived at her child’s father’s house in the 900 block of Lora Street about 4 p.m. Feb. 9, according to a probable-cause report from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety.

She began yelling for the father of her child from the outside of his home but came in through the living-room door before he could open it and then started to yell at him about the care of their child, the report stated.

The man then told Johnson she was not welcome in his house, according to the report.

Johnson followed the man outside the house, where she continued to yell and threaten him, according to the report.

He then called his girlfriend, who arrived at the house sometime later, the report stated.

Johnson yelled and threatened her until the girlfriend suggested they go to the man’s sister’s house less than a block away, the report stated.

When the girlfriend opened the car door, Johnson punched her multiple times but did not cause injuries because the girlfriend was wearing layered clothing, the report stated.

The man tried to pull Johnson away, and she punched him in the face, the report stated.

Johnson previously has been charged with third-degree domestic assault in 2015 and resisting arrest in 2007.

Her bond was set at $1,000 cash only.
