SIKESTON -- A 75-year-old Sikeston woman died Wednesday night as a result of injuries she sustained in a two-car collision earlier in the evening.

Alma D. Heuiser died at the Missouri Delta Medical Center a short while after the 6:45 p.m. accident at the intersection of Brown Spur and Salcedo Road.

Seriously injured were her sister and passenger, Alta Ellison, 75, of Sikeston, and the driver of the other vehicle, Ellis Crowell, 53, also of Sikeston.

A spokesman for the Sikeston Department of Public Safety said Heuiser's southbound vehicle pulled into the path of the westbound Crowell vehicle.

Both Ellison and Crowell were reported in stable condition Thursday night.
