SIKESTON, Mo. -- The victim of a violent robbery in Sikeston died Thursday, meaning the charges against the four suspects in the crime could be upgraded to murder.
Linnie Andrews, 45, died Thursday morning at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Investigators are now treating the death as a homicide, according to Sikeston police.
Maurice J. Robinson, 29, and Julius T. Hudson, 22, Fabayan L. Larry, 22, and Jeremiah Watson, 30, all of Sikeston, face charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary and armed criminal action in connection with robbing Linnie L. Andrews and Dewayne Andrews on Dec. 7, according to a news release from Sikeston Department of Public Safety.
The robbery occurred at 504 Lanning St. in Sikeston. Some men wearing ski masks knocked on the door, then brandished handguns and pistol-whipped Linnie and Dewayne Andrews when they answered.
The suspects allegedly took some cash during the robbery.
All four subjects are being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
