SIKESTON, Mo. -- Sikeston police are searching for two suspects wanted in connection with a shootout.
About 4 p.m. July 30, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety received a call of shots fired in the 500 block of John R Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found bullet casings in the roadway near Monte Circle. Police were told men later identified as Orlando "TJ" Sheron Jr., 20, and Dwayne Harris Jr., 23, both of Sikeston, were shooting at each other.
Neither man is thought to have been hit during the shootout, according to a release from Sikeston DPS Capt. James McMillen.
Sheron is charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Harris was charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
"At this time, we have information that both subjects are hiding out in nearby cities," McMillen said in the release.
Sikeston police are asking anyone with information on the suspects' whereabouts to call (573) 471-1500 or (573) 471-4711. Anyone who has information leading to their arrest is eligible for a cash reward.
