SIKESTON, Mo. - Sikeston Public Safety investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying a person at the scene of a Wednesday robbery.
A photo from a surveillance video at Check into Cash was taken of what officials are describing as "a person of interest."
"This subject entered another business Wednesday and may be able to assist in this investigation," said Sgt. Jim McMillen, in a news release. "It should be noted that this person is not a suspect, but only someone that may be able to aid in the investigation."
The robbery took place around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday when a man entered the business and robbed it at gunpoint.
Police earlier released of a photo of the suspect vehicle seen leaving the scene. The vehicle is described as a late model silver Chevrolet Impala with tinted windows and a rear spoiler.
Anyone who believes they know the identity of this person is asked to contact Sikeston Public Safety at 573-471-4711 or they can call the Crime Stopper's Hotline at 573-471-1500. All communications can remain confidential. Anyone who gives information that leads to a conviction in this case can be eligible for a cash reward.
"Your help is greatly appreciated," McMillen said.
