Sikeston police investigate fourth armed robbery in recent weeks

SIKESTON, Mo. -- A Sikeston business was robbed Monday for a second time.

Just before 9 p.m., an armed robber entered Gas and Goodies on 1207 W. Malone Ave., according to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety. The man displayed a pistol and demanded money. After being handed an undetermined amount of money by the clerk, the robber fled on foot.

The robber was described as a male between 6 feet to 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 150 to 160 pounds. He had a fresh scar on his nose and sunken face, according to a witness.

This is the fourth armed robbery in recent weeks under investigation by DPS.
