SIKESTON, Mo. — Cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana were among the drugs discovered by law enforcement officers following the execution of three search warrants Friday in Sikeston.
The effort was a joint investigation by Sikeston Department of Public Safety and the SEMO Drug Task Force.
Sikeston's Special Operations Group, or SOG Team, served the first warrant around 2 p.m. Friday at 231 N. Handy, apartment A, where two Sikeston residents — a 40-year-old man and his 24-year-old girlfriend — were arrested. Both subjects were in possession of about an ounce of marijuana and $186, which are thought to be proceeds from drug sales. Their names were being withheld pending the filing of formal charges.
Sikeston's SOG Team served two other warrants at 822 and 825 Agnes simultaneously around 4:30 p.m. Friday. After searching these residences, officers located 1.5 pounds of individually wrapped marijuana, 4 grams of powder cocaine and around 100 ecstasy pills. Officers also located a pistol at one of the residences.
Two Sikeston men, ages 36 and 17, were arrested in connection with these two search warrants. Their names were also being withheld pending the issuance of formal charges.
