SIKESTON, Mo. -- An ongoing drug investigation has led to the arrest of two Sikeston brothers.

Demarco Simpson, 25, and his brother, Laumphiauma Simpson, 22, were each charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree drug trafficking, according to Sikeston Department of Public Safety.

About 12:30 p.m. Thursday, a search warrant was served at 332 E. Gladys St. where the Simpsons were found, said Lt. Jim McMillen, public information officer for the department.

"The house was secured by the Sikeston's Special Operations Group and sitting on the kitchen table was a set of digital scales and two plastic bags with white rock-like substance believed to be crack cocaine," McMillen said.

The brothers are being held at the Scott County Jail on $25,000 cash-only bonds.
