Marlon K. Davis pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of unlawful use of a weapon in Scott County Circuit Court.
Davis, 17, of Sikeston, Missouri, was sentenced to three years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and was granted a suspended sentence of five years' supervised probation.
Davis and one other man shot a man Aug. 10 at 841 Wayne St. in Sikeston. The victim was struck in the buttocks, and Scott County Prosecuting Attorney Paul Boyd said the victim was "fine" at Davis' hearing.
Davis originally was charged with felony first-degree assault and felony armed criminal action, but those charges were dropped as part of the guilty plea.
