BENTON, Mo. -- A Sikeston man was arrested Wednesday on a federal indictment for allegedly making a bomb threat, according to a news release from Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter's office.
William C. Scott, 39, was arrested for allegedly making a false bomb threat on June 24. Scott is accused of calling Division 5 of the Scott County Circuit Court and making a bomb threat, disrupting court proceedings and routine business by causing the evacuation of the Scott County Courthouse and Sheriff's Office for several hours, according to the news release.
Scott is also being held on three counts of felony nonpayment of child support.
