SIKESTON, Mo. -- Three people were arrested last week in a Sikeston Department of Public Safety drug bust.
Phyllis Gates, 48, of Sikeston was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia; Serena Stalion, 48, of Jackson, Tenn., was charged with possession of a controlled substance; and Marco Wilson, 21, of Sikeston was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
The trio were arrested Friday afternoon as Sikeston officers served a search warrant at 707 Aspen Trace, a DPS release said. Cocaine and prescription pills were found at the home and on some of the suspects, the release stated.
Sikeston DPS director Drew Juden attributed the bust to neighborhood residents who assisted officers. "I think it is sending the message to drug dealers that they are not welcome, and their illegal activities are being seen by more than just officers," Juden said in the release.
