SIKESTON, Mo. -- Several people will be honored on Friday for the contributions they've made during the year.

Five awards will be presented: Small Business of the Year, Business of the Year, Civic Group of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award and Citizen of the Year.

The Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce's awards banquet will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in the Sikeston Field House.

Chamber executive director Missy Marshall said details were being finalized.

Dinner entertainment will be provided by the 40-member high school orchestra which recently received a No. 1 rating at the district contest. The group will be under the direction of Gay French.

Marshall said Steve McPheeters and Bill Powers will emcee the evening.

Tickets are $37.50 and can be reserved by calling the chamber office at 471-2498.
