SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Department of Transportation is preparing to retrofit two signals in Sikeston with flashing yellow arrows.
The signals are on Highway 114 at South Kingshighway and South New Madrid Street. The updated signals will feature flashing yellow arrows for left turning traffic, which will help increase efficiency during off-peak times.
Weather permitting, work will begin Dec. 20 with the signal at South New Madrid Street. The flashing yellow arrow is expected to be in operation by the end of the day. On Dec. 21, work will be completed at the South Kingshighway signal. As work is underway, traffic will be minimally affected.
