Cape Girardeau police were still searching for a vehicle late Wednesday night that patrons of the Discount Smoke Shop said they heard gun shots fired from just before 7:30 p.m.

According to Sgt. Jason Selzer, spokesman for the Cape Girardeau Police Department,said shots were reportedly fired from a gold Ford Taurus at another vehicle.

The victim's vehicle was located after the incident, Selzer said, but individuals in the car told police they didn't know what happened.

"They said they heard shots and left," Selzer said. "We have not located the gold-colored Taurus, and we don't know who was in it."

No one in the victim's vehicle was injured.
