At least one arrest was made Wednesday evening in the wake of a shooting incident on South Sprigg Street.
The incident involving two cars occurred just before 6 p.m. in the 700 block of South Sprigg.
Witnesses said a yellow Buick forced a maroon car to the side of the road before the shots were fired from the yellow car. Both vehicles then sped off.
It is unknown if anyone was injured by the shots.
Cape Girardeau police said an arrest was made but would provide no further information Wednesday night.
