In Oran, one candidate is needed for two years in three different wards. In Ward 1, the options are Harold J. Landewee or Craig Friga; for Ward 2, candidates are Melissa Spencer or Danny Forehand; and in Ward 3, the political hopefuls are Jimmy G. Westrich or Brenda Cook.

In Scott City, there are two contested races, one for a councilman in Ward 2, between Pat Brazel and Jonathan Rasnic, and for a councilman in Ward 3 between Ron Cummins and Bobby Bollinger II.
