JACKSON -- Several new members have been elected to the University Extension Council.

Old and returning members of the Council will meet Tuesday for the annual meeting and election of officers.

New members which were re-elected recently include Becky A. Heuer of Cape Girardeau, owner of Kagmo Ind. Supply Co.; Larry Quade, a farmer from Chaffee; Mack A. Wilson of Cape Girardeau, associate professor of agriculture at Southeast Missouri State University; Chris Weiss of Jackson, an attorney; Lawson B. Burgfeld of Jackson, a livestock enforcement officer for Missouri Department of Agriculture; and Steve Birk of Jackson, a beef cattle producer.

Two of the new members were previous members of the Council. They are James Lichtenegger of Jackson, vice president/cashier of Bank of Altenberg, and Eileen Meier of Jackson, program assistant for ASCS-USDA.

New to the Council are Elizabeth Aufdenberg, a Jackson R-2 cook at the Burfordville attendance center; Cathi Schlosser of Cape Girardeau is manager of customer relations at LDD, Inc.; Susan Jahn of Jackson, self-employed in farming; and David Joe Wessel, a farmer from Gordonville

Two representatives were appointed to the Council Shirley Tiehes, by the City of Cape Girardeau, and Larry Bock, a Cape County commissioner.

Other members of the Council include Darrell Aufdenberg, Sam Beggs, Mary Bollinger, Cathy Hemmann, Marie Hoffmeister, A. W. "Bud" Job, George Kirchdoefer, Carol Sue Ludwig, Doris McBryde, Bob McBride and Jerry Siemers.
