At least four people were injured during the noon hour Monday in a two-car crash on William Street in Cape Girardeau.
Emergency personnel on the scene could not release the severity of the injuries, although all were transported from the scene by ambulance.
Germeisha Terry, a passenger in the four-door red sedan involved in the accident, said a turquoise truck was turning out of West Park Mall to go west when the driver just stopped on William Street. The driver of the vehicle she was riding in, Terry said, tried to swerve to avoid hitting the truck.
The red sedan appeared to have severe front-end damage. One male occupant was being treated in an ambulance on scene.
One of the male passengers of the sedan was arrested at the scene. Terry said he had a warrant for his arrest but didn't say what the warrant was for.
All three passengers, one female and two males, of the turquoise Ford F-150 were taken away from the scene by an ambulance.
