Four people from Cape Girardeau, Kelso, Mo., and Grassy, Mo., were seriously injured Wednesday in three separate accidents in Scott, Bollinger and Cape Girardeau counties.

Joshua Crowden, 17, of Cape Girardeau and Daniel Harmon, 20, of Kelso were taken to St. Francis Medical Center after a single-vehicle accident on Route N, two miles south of Scott City. It occurred at 11:12 a.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Crowden's vehicle ran off the road and overturned.

Michael Confer, 45, of Grassy was taken to St. Francis Medical Center after a 6:07 p.m. accident on Route Y, five miles west of Grassy.

According to the patrol, Confer's vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree.

At 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Patricia Kight, 59, of Gordonville was seriously injured in a collision on Highway 25, one mile north of Gordonville. She was taken to St. Francis Medical Center.

Sustaining moderate injuries were Kight's passenger, Harvey Grebing, 37, of Gordonville and the other driver, Jacqueline Aufdenberg, 67, of Jackson, Mo. Grebing was taken to St. Francis Medical Center. Aufdenberg was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital.

The patrol said the accident occurred as Kight's vehicle was attempting to make a left turn into a private drive and was struck by Aufdenberg's vehicle.
