The fire occurred at 2205 Route E between Benton and Commerce, Mo.

Crews took extra precaution because of a gun safe with ammunition in the residence.

Sachen said as the fire was being brought under control additional units from Vanduser, Morley and Chaffee were requested for relief because of the temperature and high humidity.

A cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
