Seven homes and a church decorated for the holidays will be featured on the 12th annual Lutheran Family and Children's Services Home Tour, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

In addition to the tour, a chicken and dumplings lunch will be served at the church on the tour, Hobbs Chapel Methodist Church, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. At the same time, there will be a silent auction of gifts and services.

On the tour will be the homes of:* Sandy Hosler, 509 Deer Creek Road. This six-bedroom, white stucco is secluded in a valley. It features a floating staircase, large swimming pool and home gymnasium. Each of the bedrooms of the five children in this family reflect the child's age and talents.* Steve and Laura Green, 2564 Saddlegate Court. Built in 1998 by Leonard Spooler, this three-bedroom ranch house has an informal, comfortable feel with a cathedral ceiling in the foyer and a vaulted great room. Snowmen and Santa are abundant in the holiday decorations at this home.* Rick and Susan Seawel, 428 Themis. E.L. Bahn built this house in 1914-15 of pink granite St. Louis pressed brick. The house features beveled glass windows, ornamental radiators and oak trim and floors.* Frank and Ruth Moreland, 233 Bellevue. Research by the owners dates this house to 1701, showing the original owner as the king of France. Other owners have been the king of Spain and Louis Lorimier. This two-story brick structure is filled with the family's antiques. The Mississippi River can be heard from the back patio.* On and Robin Downs, 321 Green Meadows in Jackson. This rose-colored stucco ranch house has a fountain in front, a fireplace in the formal sitting parlor, a modern kitchen with tile backsplashes and a master bedroom decorated with a Moroccan theme. The home is filled with new and antique pieces of furniture.* Charles and Dana Leming, 320 Hidden Meadows in Jackson. This 3,000-square-foot, white stucco ranch-style house has four bedrooms, three baths, a 14-foot ceiling in the great room and a formal dining room with a tray ceiling. There is a coffered ceiling in the master bedroom.* Dr. Jesse and Kim Ramsey, 528 Sweet Pea Lane in Pocahontas. The Ramseys' 190-acre estate features a large modern farmhouse, stables housing quarter horses and an artesian well. The two-story ranch-style house has dormer windows and a wrap-around porch.* Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church, 3024 State Highway 177. Built in 1996, this church has chandeliers, stained glass windows and a grand piano.

Tickets for the home tour are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Advance tickets are available at Touch of Grace, Wanda's Coiffures, Schnucks and Lutheran Family and Children's Services in Cape Girardeau and at Country Spanish Shop and Schaper's IGA in Jackson.
