The Cape Girardeau Senior Center, 232 Broadway, will host a bake sale on Thursday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Proceeds will go to the building construction fund. A new home for the center is currently under construction on Clark St., near the Cape Girardeau Public Library.
The bake sale is open to the public. Sale items will include cookies, candies (some sugar free), Christmas stolens and breads, pies and cakes.
In addition, tickets will be sold for a drawing for a full-sized hand-made quilt and three matching pillow shams. A silent auction will also be held for a Lincoln log afghan.
