Sen. Jim Talent slated to speak at luncheon

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- U. S. Sen. Jim Talent, R-Mo., will speak at the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission Legislators luncheon at noon Monday. Federal, state and local leaders will attend the luncheon at the American Legion Hall, 98 Grand Ave., in Perryville. Talent will discuss his Build America bonds, which are promoted as a way to provide a $50 billion increase in new transportation infrastructure funding to empower Missouri and other states to complete significant road and bridge and other projects.
