James Biundo, university relations director at Southeast Missouri State University, has been selected to participate in the Leadership Missouri class of 1992, a major program of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce.
Leadership Missouri is designed to train 36 to 40 people annually in the functions and challenges of state government, particularly as they relate to the business community. Through this program, the chamber hopes to develop a pool of knowledgeable, influential and energetic leaders from which the organization might draw for its program committees and board.
The class will meet two days a month in seven sessions and will cover a wide range of issues, governmental functions and economic philosophies.
"I am pleased to have been selected as a member of the Leadership Missouri class of 1992," Biundo said. "It's a great opportunity to get a firsthand, in-depth look at all aspects of the state of Missouri and to meet colleagues from business and industry, and education."
Biundo is in his fourth year as director of university relations at Southeast.
