The SEMO-Tech Center for assistive technology will hold a Design-A-Logo contest that pays $50 to the winner.
Assistive technology coordinator Joyce Horky said the contest is open to people who can dream up a design that will raise awareness of the center's mission.
The center helps disabled people learn how to use devices modified or customized to enhance the quality of their life. There are more than 17,000 recognized assistive technology devices including wheelchairs, large door handles, brailled reading material, communication equipment, enlarged keyboards, hearing aids and modified swing sets.
Entrants should submit their designs on 8 1/2-by-11-inch paper.
Artists may submit multiple entries, but each entry must be accompanied by a separate piece of paper with identifying information.
Entries must be mailed or hand delivered to SEMO-Tech, 1020 N. Kingshighway, Suite C, Cape Girardeau, Mo., 63701 to the attention of Joyce Horky.
The winning design will be used on business cards, office stationery and promotional items.
Deadline for entries is June 1.
