SEMO sharing grants for redesign of classes

Southeast Missouri State University will share two competitive grants to fund universities of the future initiatives.

Southeast serves as the lead institution in a consortium of universities that will benefit from a $250,000 Next Generation Learning Challenges grant. The funding was awarded to the American Association of State Colleges and Universities and the University of Central Florida. Six Missouri universities, including Southeast, will work together to develop online and classroom models for teaching algebra and English.

Meanwhile, Southeast and 12 other public four-year universities in Missouri have been awarded a $250,000 Next Generation Learning Challenges grant to redesign courses using technology to improve student learning.
