The Board of Regents has appointed new chairmen for three academic departments at Southeast Missouri State University.
Dr. Sakina Drummond has been hired as the new chairwoman of the communications disorders department. She replaces Dr. Mary Ann Vogelsang, who recently retired.
Drummond has been employed at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Little Rock since 1978.
Dr. Brian Toy, assistant professor of health and leisure, has been named acting chairman of the health and leisure department. Toy replaced Dr. Ed Leoni, who is stepping down as chairman.
Toy joined Southeast in 1992. In 1994, he received the "Outstanding Teaching Award" from Southeast's College of Health and Human Services.
Dr. Bruce Domazlicky has been named acting chairman of the economics department. He replaces Dr. Rebecca Summary, who is taking a sabbatical for the 1995-96 academic year.
Domazlicky has been teaching economics at Southeast since 1986.
