Southeast Missouri State University's main campus in Cape Girardeau closed at 1 p.m. today. All day and evening classes have been canceled, and offices will be closed. Offices will reopen and classes will resume at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to the Cape Girardeau Public Schools district Facebook Page: Cape Girardeau Public Schools dismissed early today. The Alternative School was to be dismissed at 10:40 a.m.; Central High School at 11:20 a.m.; Central Junior High, 11:20 a.m.; and the elementary schools and middle school at noon.

The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce closed today due to weather conditions.

The client appreciation event for Thrivent Financial's Perryville, Mo., office, originally set for today, has been rescheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Per state law, Cape Girardeau's City Hall and Shawnee Center will remain open as voting precincts until 7 p.m. today but will close at 4 p.m. for any other public use.

Coed volleyball and men's basketball leagues have been canceled for this evening.

The A.C. Brase Arena and Osage Centre will close at 4 p.m. today.

The Cape Girardeau Regional Airport is allowing only helicopter traffic. Cape Air had planned to cancel flights after 1 p.m. today.

Cape Girardeau Public Works offices will remain open until their normal 4 p.m. closing time today.
