Dr. Jennie Cooper, professor of English at Southeast and a member of the AIDS Advisory Committee, said students made ribbons to hand out on campus.

The goal is to increase AIDS awareness and commemorate those who are living with or who have died from AIDS and the HIV virus.

Ribbons have been distributed to university faculty. Ribbons will be available at sites across campus and on university shuttle buses.
